The Red Bull team has confirmed a major reshuffle for the 2026 F1 campaign, moving up French driver Isack Hadjar to its A-team and giving British teenager Arvid Lindblad his maiden F1 drive. Lindblad, who comes from a mixed Swedish-Indian background, will be the partner of Kiwi driver Liam Lawson at the second team Racing Bulls. This reshuffling results in Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda being without a drive post a half-decade in F1. Who is Arvid Lindblad? The British teen drove first practice for the Silverstone and Mexican Grands Prix this year. Lindblad has been identified as a rising talent by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old. Regarding the team's junior academy, a senior Red Bull figure noted last year that Lindblad "seems extremely gifted", praising his "natural quickness". The team has had a plan for some time to prepare Lindblad for his likely Grand Prix bow in 2026, featuring runs in F1 practice sessions at the British and Mexican races. Lindblad stated it was a "huge honour", adding: "Next season represents a huge step, and I know there's plenty to absorb, but I'm prepared to collaborate with the team and meet the challenge. I am incredibly excited to get started." Lindblad has taken two races in F2 this year and is sixth in the standings heading into the season finale in Abu Dhabi. The Frenchman's Chance The French driver celebrates his first podium in F1, secured at the Dutch Grand Prix this season. Hadjar's F1 career started in difficult fashion when he crashed on the formation lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. However, since then, he has emerged as one of the most impressive newcomers of the year. His performances featured an remarkable top-three result at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he lies in tenth place in the championship. A senior team figure commented: "Isack has shown great maturity and demonstrated to be a quick learner. Crucially, he has the innate pace that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can thrive next to Max." Hadjar described it "an incredible opportunity" and said he felt "ready". Tsunoda's Exit For the seat at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have opted for Lawson over Tsunoda. Lawson began the season with the main team but was moved back after just two races. He has found his form at Racing Bulls with notable results, persuading Red Bull he deserves another season. Tsunoda, meanwhile, loses his place after a disappointing season. His highest finish is a P6, and he has accumulated a minor percentage of the team's constructors' championship. These announcements mean that there is also no place on the Red Bull programme for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will continue in F2 next season.
