Football Analyst Sutton Battles Singer Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match winning streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the global hiatus, however can the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' new record, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of several charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football team," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our team for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their offense is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' sole away victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.

So, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I will go with the Cherries, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season began, but they have impressed a few people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four matches.

A family member advised me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are always decent at home. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six games.

Fulham have have plenty of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

Their display in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the close of October.

However I am not choose that. Instead, I really need to continue going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the only team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and also that Fulham are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
